Approximate request-country detection is used only as a starting convenience. The page first uses host/CDN country information or local GeoIP support; when neither is available, it may perform a short server-side IP-to-country lookup and retains only the derived two-letter country code in the session, not the raw IP. Language choices are suggestions and never override a manual choice.
